These wooden kitchen utensils and chefs tools and spoons are crafted from the finest in properly seasoned native Cherry Appalchian hardwood. finished to a satin smooth finish and carefully treated with 100% organic and hypo allergenic Linseed seed oil and 40% mineral oil for a silky smooth feel and protection. After soaking for 24 hours the utensils are wiped off and shipped.
CARE AND FEEDING OF YOUR WOOD SPOONS: When you feel the time is right, lightly sand the utensil with fine grit sand paper 400-600. Wipe or soak with mineral oil/linseed oil. Dry and use. It's normal; for the spoons to darken with age, especially when made of cherry. We have spoons in our personal utensil arsenal for 20 years and they are going strong with no care whatsoever. with no care whatsoever

aLL wood tensils and spoons are sanded to a satin smooth feel and then treated with 100% Organic Flax Seed Oil. Wood serving utensils with standard use and care will last a lifetime (or two or three) with or without periodic oil treatments. A light sanding after heavy use and dishwasher washing and then treatment with organic flax seed oil or linseed oil bath overnight will help restore them from the rigors of use and dishwasher washing.
